Andrew is a partner at Aldwych Partners advising on merger and anti-trust investigations in the healthcare sector. Most recently, Andrew led the team that secured clearance for a merger between two hospital groups in Manchester, which operate nine hospitals across the city. This was the first UK merger to be cleared due to customer benefits outweighing the adverse effects arising from a loss of competition. He has also advised on major transactions in mental health, care homes and diagnostics. Andrew was previously senior director at the UK Competition Commission, and inaugural chief executive of the National Health Service’s anti-trust regulator.
